9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
In preparation for World War II, the British government developed a series of posters to rally the public and build morale. While many of these messages were circulated, one now-recognizable slogan – Keep Calm and Carry On – was never distributed (even though more than 2.5 million posters were printed). This message is often associated with and embodies the spirit of British Prime Minister Winston Churchill
Randy Otto will lead conference attendees on a historical journey to uncover eight timeless principles that exemplify Churchill’s leadership style. Learn how Churchill persevered under pressure and opposing viewpoints to become one of the most recognized leaders of the 20th century. More importantly, gain valuable tips for how county officials can similarly – Keep Calm and Carry On.
A leadership speaker and seasoned actor, Randy Otto has presented Winston Churchill for more than four decades. He credits Academy Award Nominee Hal Holbrook for inspiring him to shatter theatre’s “fourth wall” and encouraging a raw, young actor to have the guts to take Winston Churchill onstage and on the road.
